Have you ever waited for a rainbow after a light drizzle of rain? Have you gazed at the night sky and wondered about the Moon and the stars? Have you ever imagined forms in the clouds while travelling? Have you ever found interesting birds and insects on your trail? If your answer is ‘Yes’, congratulations you are still in tune with Mother Nature.

Every breath we take connects us with the air around us. Every sip of water becomes part of us. The warmth of fire keeps us alive. We are not separate from nature—we are expressions of it.

Nature has always known how to guide us. The changing seasons, the tides, the moon—all gently remind us that life moves in cycles. We too are part of these rhythms...

Since ancient times, people across cultures have observed the moon's influence on life. Its changing phases have inspired calendars, agricultural practices, festivals, and spiritual traditions. Whether viewed scientifically or symbolically, the moon invites us to pause, reflect, and begin again.

In many spiritual and esoteric traditions, the Full Moon is associated with manifestation, while the New Moon symbolizes release, intention, and new beginnings.

This past New Moon on July 14 offered a beautiful opportunity to pause, release, and begin again. We at Ikhaya Healing hosted an online cord-cutting ritual on this day. A cord-cutting ritual is a symbolic practice of identifying the beliefs, emotions, and energetic patterns that no longer serve us, and consciously choosing to release them with intention. Ramya channeled a beautiful cord-cutting ritual and guided us through this whole process. As participants joined from different places, we collectively took a moment to let go of emotions, fears, and patterns that no longer served us. There was a quiet stillness that settled over the session — a reminder that healing often begins when we consciously choose to release.

At Ikhaya Healing, we work with nature by engaging the five senses to bring the five elements within us into harmony. We are deeply grateful to the universe and to the guides who continue to inspire these rituals and meditations. It is our intention to create sacred spaces where people can reconnect with themselves and experience greater harmony within.

Nature never asks us to become someone else.

It simply reminds us who we already are.

If this resonates with you, we'd love to have you join us for future guided meditations and healing circles as we continue walking this journey together.
